Daniel 3
SHADRACH:
I am Shadrach.

MESHACK:
I am Meshack.

ABEDNEGO:
I am Abednego.

SHADRACH:
We live in the land of Babylon and we are Jews, who worship the only true and living God.

MESHACK:
Our friend Daniel asked King Nebuchadnezzar to make us overseers of Babylon, and he agreed to do this.

ABEDNEGO:
King Nebuchadnezzar decided to make a gold idol for everyone to worship.

SHADRACH:
The king sent out an order for everyone in his kingdom to fall down and worship this gold idol every time the horns, trumpets and other music were played.

MESHACK:
Everyone, except the three of us, fell down and worshiped the gold idol just as they had been told to do.

ABEDNEGO:
But, some of the king's men told him that we three were not worshiping his gold idol as he had commanded. They said that we weren't honoring the king!

SHADRACH:
King Nebuchadnezzar was so mad when he heard that we had disobeyed him that he had us brought before him.

MESHACK:
When we were brought before him he asked us "Is it true that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold idol which I have commanded?"

ABEDNEGO:
He also said, "If you are willing…now…when you hear the music, to fall down and worship the gold idol which I have made…good…but, if you do not worship you will be cast immediately into the burning fiery furnace! And, who is the God who will deliver you from my hands?

SHADRACH:
We said, O King! We have no need to answer you!

MESHACK:
If that is the case, out God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he can deliver us from your hand, O King!

ABEDNEGO:
But, if not, let it be known to you that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold idol which you have set up.

SHADRACH:
When we had answered him, Nebuchadnezzar was so mad that he commanded that they heat the furnace seven times hotter than ever before!

MESHACK:
He commanded his mightiest men to bind us and throw us into the fiery furnace!

ABEDNEGO:
They bound us up with all of our clothes and even our turbans and they threw us into the red hot furnace!

SHADRACH:
Because the flames of the furnace were so hot, it burned the men who threw us into the fire!

MESHACK:
And….then…King Nebuchadnezzar looked into the furnace and said, "Did we not cast three men into the flames?"

ABEDNEGO:
And then he said, "I see four men walking around in the flames and they are not hurt! The form of the fourth man is like the son of God!

SHADRACH:
When the king saw this he came near to the furnace and said, "Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego, servant of the most high God, come out and come here!

MESHACK:
The king and all of his followers saw that the fire had not burned us or our clothes, not even the smell of fire was on us! What a miracle!!!
ABEDNEGO:
King Nebuchadnezzar said, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego who sent His angel to save them because they would not bow down and worship any god but the one and only living God!

SHADRACH:
The king made a decree that day that anyone who said anything against our God would be cut to pieces and their houses burned to the ground!

MESHACK:
He said this because he believed that no other god could do what our God had done.

ABEDNEGO:
We have been given even better jobs in Babylon than we had ever had before.

SHADRACH, MESHACK, & ABEDNEGO:
